Coaching

We will construct an individualised training programme that will enable you to become the best you can be. This will detail exactly what you need to achieve in each session, how long the session should be, and how hard you need to go.  Our support is tailored to suit your budget, timeframe and needs. It may range from practical group sessions, to Personal Training and coaching support, or simply consist of helping to construct individual training and race plans, plus a few progress checks.

This is how we do it...

  • Work on specifics:
  • Make it fit with your life:
  • Be prepared for every eventuality:.
  • There’s no magic formula – but it helps if it is fun:
  • Talk to the specialists:

Strength Conditioning – SportsMed Gym

We will improve your performance and decrease the chances of you getting injured by developing a specific strength and flexibility programme for you and the requirements of your sport.  To do this we first perform a Functional Movement Analysis to detect imbalances in mobility and stability during fundamental movement patterns such as squatting and lunging. Imbalances can lead to changes in movement patterns to compensate for the lack of mobility and stability.  This causes us to run, swim, cycle or kayak inefficiently and increases the chances of injury while exercising.

Personal Training Sessions – We love running doing sessions with people as this is where we can have the biggest impact on your performance.  This could be either a ...

  • Technique session – Kayak, Cycle, Run, Swim
  • Training session – Kayak, Cycle, Run, Swim

Group Training sessions – Weekly, 1 hour long, for all abilities

  • Tour de Spin – Wednesday, Thursday
  • CP summer cycle sessions – Wednesday, Thursday
  • Running sessions – Tuesday
  • Kayaking session  – Tuesday

To succeed; to push the boundaries and beat the odds;to be faster than we think possible;to experience that feeling of exhaustion, satisfied relief and unfathomed achievement... it has always been more than a race, it is part of us.”Complete Performance, 2007
