Pilates

Pilates is a mixture of floor and equipment based exercises designed to stretch, strengthen and balance your whole body. This can be really beneficial in rehabilitation from injury and prevention of further problems.

We have physiotherapists with specialist training in Pilates who can help you with an individual program, using floor based and Pilates reformer exercises.

Our physiotherapist's Jolene, Vanessa and Kimberley are starting Pilates classes here at SportsMed beginning of August.

Why do pilates?

  • Improve posture
  • Increase range and quality of movement
  • Increase core strength and muscle balance
  • Decrease incidence of back pain
  • Decrease risk of sporting injuries
  • Re-train faulty compensatory movement patterns
  • Adjunct or follow on from rehabilition

Classes:

Monday :5.45-6.35 (Kim)

Tuesday:10 -10.50 (Jo)
